Your First Visit

When you come to Lindenwoods Chiropractic for your first visit, you're not just going to the doctor for an 'exam', or a 'check up', like a traditional medical doctor.  Our focus will be to help you by using the latest technology, the best scientific research, and proven successful methods to help YOUR body be restored to a state of vitality and wellness.

 Patient Forms

Upon entering our office, our Chiropractic Assistants will welcome you as a member of our family.  We request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Timmerman to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the Doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and what your expectations are to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.  This is usually the most thorough inventory of your health and wellness issues, including past history, current habits, information on nutrition, exercise, stress, toxins, sickness, and so on will enable the doctor to get a picture of the WHOLE you - and develop a progress path for restoring you to the wellness you deserve.

Examination

Instead of treating a symptom, the Doctor's will want to detect and remove the very obstacles to wellness that prevent your body from experiencing optimal health.  So what can you expect during your examination?  First, we will do a complete biostructural evaluation.  The doctor will assess your posture and other biomechanics for any alterations or obstacles that are blocking your body's natural ability to heal.  Second, the doctor will do a thorough spinal and nerve system exam to detect the areas of increased stress and possible nerve system interferences.

X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop  the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of  any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

Doctor's Report

Once the information is collected  and examinations have been performed, Dr. Timmerman will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

1. How can you help me?
2. How often do I need to come in?
3. What  will  my treatment  cost?

After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, the Doctor's will discuss recommendations with you.  If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you.  If Dr. Timmerman believes he can help you, he will recommend a treatment and wellness program.

Treatment

 At the conclusion of the Doctor's Report, you will experience your first adjustment!  This will allow the healing to begin.
